Measured Surveys
A Measured Survey, sometimes referred to as a Dimensional Survey, will involve taking measurements of a building and/or its site in order to prepare accurate drawings to scale. The purpose for which the drawings will be required, their scale, detail and acceptable tolerances and timescales need to be agreed between the parties beforehand.
In brief, measured surveys comprise the systematic measurement of buildings, structures or land. Measured surveys are advisable at all stages of development and construction. The early collection of accurate data will pay dividends in the long run.
All measured survey plans are drawn up in electronic format using AutoCad and to aid Client’s floorspace utilisation for space planning, departmental cost allocation, empty property rate relief, sub-lettings, refurbishment works, other building works or general record-keeping.
